I've been neglecting you again. I guess that life's been busy for me. It seems like I've been doing so little and spending so much time. I just finished reading everyone's journals (sorry if I didn't comment as much, I don't know what to say really).

My BF has been a darling, helping me pick out coordinates and showing me which dresses in the magazines he thought would look cute on me. In reality, he says "That'll look hot on you."

Hey all, sorry for dropping off the face of the earth.

Lots of things happened over the last several weeks and I'll write about it in the next few entries.

Few things I have to mention.
-I miss my Nova Lolitas. I want to see them again sometime soon.

-I had a blast visiting my old friends.

-I need to clean up my apartment.

It's not like I didn't want to watch Firefly. I wasn't able to borrow it. Back in WH, anyone who had a copy of Firefly was lending it to someone else. I'd probably buy it but I didn't want to buy something I might not like in the end. I also don't want to go through the trouble of selling it.

Through the greatness of Netflix, I was finally able to watch it. I watched Serenity first and then I went back in to the tv show. I like to invest my time frugally. I don't know why since it'll be wasted anyways. Overall, I think this show is fun. The humor in it is really well done, there's enough there to make it a solid show. I also like how they all swear in chinese badly.

The cast was really good. It's one of those shows where I really come to like everyone. It's really hard to say who I like the best. I really like Simon, mostly because I want to date him and that he's not as whimpy as he seems to be. Wash is awesome...I don't really need to say more. I thought I would hate Jayne but after half the season through he turned out to be one of the best characters. The best scene with Jayne is when he's eating an apple with a knife.

And surprisingly the character I liked the least was River. Most of the scenes with her was either her acting crazy, saying something unnerving or looking amazed at something. Her only redeeming quality to me is that she can do some really good looking fight scenes. I've only been through the first 3 discs of the box set. Maybe I'll like her better after seeing those.

One major thing that bothered me was the lack of any chinese people in the cast. Or anywhere. I think I saw one asian person in the background. I'm not sure. I'll probably learn more about that issue once I start lurking around the fansites.

I celebrated my birthday about a week ago. Saw some friends I haven't seen in awhile. Yay. Got a sewing machine from Steve. Yay. Got a call from Maggie wishing me a happy birthday. Yay. Didn't get a call from anyone else. Boo.

I'm really excited about my new sewing machine. It might be a crap one, but that's OK. I've never sewn before so this will be a pretty good start. I'll probably get a better one later down the line. One that'll be able to use the ruffle attachment. Hehe. For now, I'm just going to fuck around and make pillow cases and maybe some bows. I might something good enough to sell on etsy. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'm all ears.

That's all I can think of now.

Oh and Epic comes to me when I call him. I don't know how this happened. Or why he loves me so much. All I do is yell and spray him with water.

Ok I suck. I said I would be sending out the first wave of post cards last monday. It's been more than a week and I still haven't sent out anything. I just finally got everything drawn. Now all I have to do is ink it, color it, write a small message, address it and post it.

There are a very few times when I make a movie recommendation. Mostly because the movies that I like have already been seen or they're not really for everyone (read "bad movie"). But this is a movie I have to get everyone to see. It's called Sky High.

You may have seen the commercials for this and thought this is a lame movie about kids wanting to be super heroes er... underwear perverts (boingboing joke). No no no no. It's a hilarious movie. Here's a sample line from it that I absolutely love.

"If you're super hero is flying north at 300 mph and the villain is burrowing south a 200 mph, assuming your hero has x-ray vision, how long will it take him to realize he's going the wrong way?"

Go see this movie if you like super heroes, 80's teen movies (like Better Off Dead), Bruce Campbell, Dave Foley and Kevin Mcdonald.

The two main characters are going to be based on Fuji and Kira from the girl game (BESM game that my girlfriends and I played back in West Hartford). So this means an insane seme and a more down to earth straight uke. I know it probably sounds like a billion other shoujo/BL comics out there. The purpose of this comic is to fulfill a dream of making a web comic and to have fun. I also miss being Fuji.

Well Nancy and Adam are. One of my works got some great film time. It's the Death Note TCheck us out.

It's the day after Otakon and I'm dead. Nancy, Adam and I were the few, probably the only, people who sold things at the most reasonable price. Therefore we were overloaded with commissions Friday and Saturday.

I think I ate a total of 3-4 meals during the con. And only had about 7 hours of sleep. dies.

BTW thanks for the message Maggie, I knew about Maki Murakami. I didn't know about that guy from Tokyopop.

I just have a new job and a new kitten and a ton of other things to take care of. See ya'll in August.

I want to thank all of my friends for being my support. It definitely helped.

Quest will still not shut up. I've read all of your comments and I'll definitely try all of them. The vacuum cleaner trick is the only one I can't do because Steve's a pussy and he thinks it'll wake up the neighbors. So the the bed trick and ignoring him will have to do. I would love to have Quest sleep in the bed with us but my allergies act up and I get horrible nose bleeds.

This past week, I've been applying to jobs, running to interviews, writing thank you cards. On top of that I've also been cleaning. I feel a bit accomplished. Most of the interviewers were great to talk to. I'm getting better at this interview thing.

Also if you haven't noticed my last few posts I have a new cat. His name is Quest.
